Retained to act as a strategic and financial advisor to a leading residential solar company. Originated a $100 million tax equity investment from a leading financial institution.

M&A Advisory - Power: Wind: Golden West Power Partners, LLC
Retained as the exclusive financial advisor to the developer of a 250 MW wind project which is located near Colorado Springs, Colorado. The sale of the Project to NextEra Energy closed in April 2014.

Financial Advisory - Power: Wind: Banks Island Wind , BC, Canada
Structured the acquisition of the development rights and led the organization of a development consortium to complete the remaining development and financing of a 500-1,000 MW wind project located on the North Coast of British Columbia.

M&A/Financing Advisory - Power: Wind: NaturEner USA, LLC
Acted as the financial advisor to the sponsor of the 189 MW Rim Rock wind project located in Montana, USA. Structured and closed a $320 million construction and equity bridge loan with Morgan Stanley and a $300 million tax equity financing with San Diego Gas & Electric Co. Secured an additional mandate to structure the sale of a portfolio of wind generation assets in the USA and Canada.

Financial Advisory - Power: Wind: Enbridge, Inc.
Acted as risk advisor to this leading oil and gas pipeline transportation company regarding the acquisition of a 50% interest from EDF EN Canada Inc. in the 300 MW, $325 million, Lac Alfred wind project in Quebec, Canada.

Principal Financing - Power: Wind: Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc.
Originated, structured and closed a strategic relationship with Enbridge Inc. the leading gas/oil pipeline transportation company in North America involving the joint development and equity investment in three wind farms in Canada and the US representing 450 MW of wind capacity with an enterprise value of $1.1 billion.

Designed a streamlined auction process and built an eight-person transaction team that closed the sale of 2,220 MW of projects, worth over $4.0 billion in 3 years.

Principal Financing - Power: Wind Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc.
Originated, structured and closed a $356 million debt and tax equity financing for the 166 MW Hackberry wind farm located in Texas. The financing included a $134.5 million, 12 month construction loan, a $168 million 21 year term loan, a $14 million L/C facility and a $134 million levered PAYGO tax equity investment from GE Energy Financial Services. The partially contracted project (15 year PPA with a 5 year merchant tail) utilizes 72 Siemens 2.3 MW wind turbine generators.
At the time of closing in December 2008, 21 years represented the longest debt maturity for a wind farm financing.

M&A Advisory - Power: Gas/Coal: KGen Partners, LLC
Advised the purchaser, KGen, LLC an affiliate of MatlinPatterson Global Opportunities Partners II on the acquisition of 5,325 MW of gas-fired capacity from Duke Energy.

M&A Advisory - Power: Coal/Gas: MatlinPatterson Global Opportunities Partners
Retained to structure the acquisition of the USGen New England Portfolio a 2,839 MW portfolio of coal and gas-fired assets under a Chapter 11 bankruptcy auction process.

M&A Advisory - Infrastructure: LNG/Storage/Pipeline: New Jersey Resources, Corp.
Retained to act as lead financial and technical advisor in the acquisition and financing of assets related to its wholesale operations, including natural gas storage facilities, pipelines, LNG facilities, and other related assets.

M&A Advisory - Infrastructure: LNG/Power/Storage: Gazprom 
Retained by Gazexport, the export arm of Gazprom to develop, implement and monitor an entry into the North American LNG market. The engagement involved performing detailed due diligence on and valuing proposed regasification terminals, evaluating and structuring long-term power off-take agreements.

Strategic Advisory - Power: Coal/Gas: Och-Ziff Capital & Baupost Group, LLC
Retained to undertake the assessment of four distressed energy merchant companies - Calpine, Dynegy, Reliant and Mirant. Engagement involved the valuation of over one hundred power generation assets and associated financing structures to assess the relative value of corporate-level secured loans, bonds, unsecured subordinated debt and project-level lease equity and debt.

Development Advisory - LNG: AES Ocean LNG, Ltd.
Retained to support the development and financing of a US$ 650 million, 850 mm3/d LNG import terminal and pipeline located in the Bahamas. Engagement included detailed evaluations of Florida power generation and gas markets and advising AES during negotiations for long-term gas supply, and with potential equity investors.
